Support Local Music Please.

The local music scene is brimming full of aspiring musicians.

Varying degrees of experience, technique, style, flair, intelligence.

However i feel that today's 'gig' was just a shell. It was just an exhibition. Seriously it was just like a gathering of friends to showcase their chops and guitars.

I seethed when the emcee said "Let's see if he's worth that $7800 guitar anot!" or when the bassist said (when we did a lucky draw in response to an audience member's words of "i want your bass guitar" when the emcee said "What should i draw now?") : "$5000 loh".

Wad the fuck? I admit you and ur band got good sounding music. But fuck, why spout $$$$$$$$$ in this show? Its like admitting "Heya i'm using a state of the art just came out this month r0x0r woot deluxe mp3 player that's 10000000000000000gig better than yours hahahahahahaha i pwnz0r3d j00 roffle!!!1one!!!!11111elevenlolz!

My |0s3r 128mb storage card may be less technologically advanced, or i might daresay more primitive (gasp who uses PRIMITIVE now??) than yours, but i might have a better collection of songs than yours.

Don't get me wrong! The vocalist for their band is really really all round nice guy. He was the one who intro us to this Exposure 77.1 and he is one of the guys who are behind the scenes in setting up (1 of 4 or 5 ppl, VERY IMPORTANT GUY LOR) and he asked us to perform for the next gig. Respect to him.

Given that i hardly know his bandmates, they gave me a very bad impression. But Rui's cool, really cool.

THE PERSON WHO HAS MOST CHOPS TODAY IS THE DRUMMER FROM ONEBUCKSHORT.

And HOLY COW, they really brought the roof down.

Really, OneBuckShort is the singular best live act i have seen. I think they will be the best singular live act to grace my fucking shitty lameass slacker nolifer depressed fullofangst stupid idiotic existance for now.

Juri i am going Taiwan/Hongkong (not sure which, most likely Taiwan) with friends in october =D i hav a gig in october/nov but i'm not very keen on it. not at all.

Because todays 'gig'(i'd say chillout boring affair)... apart from OneBuckShort... and Rui's band (4got the name hehe, and it was only the last of the 4 songs they played) no other fucking band (10 left) make me wanna jump.

There was another band Raindogs. They are seasoned strong but not exceptionally talented. Musically they are damn strong, their originals are compositions. Blues influence mah, surely will be strong de =D

I think i got alot more to type abt, but i'm tired lack of slp 2ml 430pm C++ programming test.. so i'll just stop here.
